We are a small, community based birthing center, which enables us to provide the personal touch for every birth. At the WCC you are never a number, you are a name, a face, a family.

Labor, delivery, recovery (LDR) rooms are newly decorated and enable you and your family to stay in the same room from early labor to the immediate recovery period after birth. The LDR rooms are roomy and attractive with a homelike atmosphere. The rooms transfer quickly to a birthing suite, when birth draws near.

The LDR rooms have bedside monitoring of baby and mom to enable the staff to provide individual, hands on care.

Birthing plans are encouraged and respected, always taking into consideration safety for mom and baby.

In the ever changing face of society, our staff happily considers the needs of all family structures, as well as spiritual and cultural needs.
 

The staff nurses and nursing assistants have all chosen to be in this highly specialized area of Labor and Delivery; taking great pride and pleasure providing our families with the safest, most rewarding birth experience.
 

We have a unique, long term professional relationship between doctors, midwives, nurse anesthetists, staff nurses and assistants. This ensures rapid, clear communication between all members of the health care team and excellent patient care.
 

We offer Prepared Child Birth and Breast feeding classes, to help get you and your family ready for the birth experience. In compliance with the World Health Organizations statement on supporting breast feeding mothers, we have a specialized lactation nurse on staff; and all nursery nurses have been cross trained in lactation. We support any choice a new mom makes in feeding her baby.
