Pattie A. Clay offers comprehensive medical coverage, including health insurance, dental insurance and wellness options that support employee health goals.
Employees also may decide to include life insurance, accidental death and dismemberment insurance, short-term disability insurance and long-term disability insurance in their benefits package for additional cost. Your enrollment in the medical plan also includes co-payment prescription drug coverage.
Each pay period, you will pay for your portion of these benefits with pre-tax dollars. Here is the breakdown of insurance offered by Pattie A. Clay.
- Medical – Employees will have the choice from employer sponsored plans. A substantial portion of the insurance premium is paid by the organization for full-time employees with the employee paying the balance. The payment is made by payroll deduction.
- Part-time employees may subscribe to the health insurance plan, but they must pay the total premium.
- If the employee is off on Family or Medical Leave, group insurance coverage will be maintained as if the employee had been continuously employed. The employee’s share, for such insurance shall be collected through payroll deduction or other written payment arrangement designated and agreed upon in advance.
- As an employee of Pattie A. Clay RMC covered by our Group Health Insurance, you have the right to choose continuation coverage. Coverage may be continued up to 18 months in the event you lose your Group Health coverage due to a reduction in hours of employment or the termination of employment (for reasons other than gross misconduct).
- Dental – Pattie A. Clay participates in a self-insured dental plan. The premium is paid for by the organization for full-time employees' single plan. Employees electing family coverage can have payment made through payroll deduction. Part-time employees are eligible for benefits but must pay 100% of the premium.
- Life –. All full-time employees receive a life insurance policy equal to the amount of l.25 times their annual salary, (rounded off to the nearest thousand dollars) up to a maximum of $50,000. When the employee attains the age of 65, the benefit is reduced by 50%. At the age of 70 the benefit is reduced to $5,000. This coverage begins after 90 days of employment. This is entirely paid for by the hospital and costs the employee nothing.
- Voluntary – We offer our employees supplemental life, accidental death and dismemberment and short-term disability.
- Discounts - Employees are entitled to a discount on the unpaid portion of inpatient or outpatient Pattie A.Clay Regional Medical Center bills. The discount covers the employees and members of his/her immediate family. (Immediate family being spouse and children). The unpaid portion, after discounts can be paid through payroll deduction. There is a minimum of $25.00 per pay period.
Recognizing the value of health and wellness to its employees, Pattie A. Clay provides many services to its employees. In addition to insurance, employees receive access to an employee fitness program discount, access to health education programs, health Newsletters, an employee assistance program and discounts on health care services.
Health care services
All employees receive a free annual physical examination consisting of PPD skin test and other laboratory tests at the hospital’s expense. Updates will be scheduled annually with respective departments. The employee may also elect to have a chest x-ray along with the laboratory test each year.
Fitness Program
Healthy employees are usually productive employees. One way an employee can stay healthy is to be physically fit. Pattie A. Clay provides the opportunity for all employees to participate in a fitness program at local fitness centers. Fifty percent of the monthly premium, not to exceed $16.00 per month will be paid by the organization for full-time employees.
