Physical therapy is skilled treatment providing services to individuals and populations to develop, maintain and restore maximum movement and functional ability throughout life. Physical Therapy @ Pattie A. Clay Regional Medical Center is provided on an inpatient basis by licensed/certified Physical Therapists(PT’s) and Physical Therapy Assistants (PTA’s) under the direction of the PT’s.
The Physical Therapists at Pattie A. Clay Regional Medical Center provide services to relieve pain, restore mobility and functional abilities, and prevent disabilities in order to improve quality of life. This includes providing negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT), wound debridement, and pulsed lavage as appropriate to patients requiring wound care @ Pattie A. Clay Regional Medical Center. In addition to “hands-on” care, the PT’s educate patients on self-care, use of adaptive equipment as needed, and to perform exercises independently as part of a home exercise program. |
