This minimally invasive procedure is used to obtain tissue samples (biopsies) for diagnostic purposes. The procedure is conducted in the radiology department rather than the operating room, produces no significant scarring, requires a shorter amount of time, a shorter recovery period and is less expensive than a traditional surgical biopsy
Pattie A. Clay is experience in having been one of the first rural hospitals in Kentucky to offer this procedure. |
